What Table Tech does
One specialist service for the whole table
From brand new flat-packed tables to worn-out folding mechanisms, every job is about the same thing: a table tennis table that is safe, perfectly assembled and ready to play.
Experience you can check
More than 15 years with the leading brands
Table tennis tables look simple until one will not fold, will not lock, or arrives in a box weighing more than a washing machine. Table Tech has spent more than 15 years assembling, servicing and repairing them, and that experience shows in the details: correct alignment, properly adjusted mechanisms and honest advice about what is worth repairing.
Every brand does things differently, from folding systems to model-specific parts. Knowing those differences is exactly what a specialist is for.
Plus other popular domestic, commercial and institutional brands.

Common problems
Sound familiar?
These are the issues that come up again and again. Open any of them for a plain-English explanation of what is usually going on.
Usually a folding mechanism fault. Forcing it tends to make things worse. Send photographs of the mechanism and the table model and Table Tech can advise on the likely cause.
Locking catches and safety latches wear with use, and on some models they can be adjusted or replaced. A table that will not lock securely, whether open or folded, should be treated with care until it has been checked.
Misaligned halves often come from incorrect assembly or improper use. In many cases the table can be realigned without new parts.
Wheels and castors are one of the most common failure points, particularly on tables moved regularly or stored outdoors. Replacements are model-specific, so the brand and model matter. Photographs of the wheel and its mounting help identify the right part.
Loose fixings or damaged parts can all cause instability. A heavy folding table that feels unsafe should be taken out of use until it has been inspected, particularly in schools and clubs.
Surface damage can rarely be repaired. Swollen, water-damaged or delaminating tops cannot be restored to a true playing surface. Some manufacturers sell replacement tops for certain models. Send photographs with your enquiry and the reply will be straight about what is realistic before any money is spent. Often replacement tops cost more than half the cost of a new table from manufacturers like Cornilleau. Butterfly do not sell replacement table tops.
New tables are heavy and the instructions often assume two experienced builders. Professional assembly gets the table built square and safe to fold, without damaged parts or leftover fixings.
Second-hand tables are often good value but can hide worn mechanisms or missing fixings. An inspection and service can catch problems early and confirm the table is safe to use.

Frequently asked questions
The manufacturer, the model name or number if you know it, the approximate age of the table, a short description of the problem, photographs of the whole table and close-ups of the damaged part, your location or postcode, and whether you already have a replacement part. The more of this you can send, the faster and more accurate the response.
Table Tech has more than 15 years of hands-on experience with tables from Cornilleau, Butterfly, Kettler and Sponeta, along with other popular domestic, commercial and institutional brands. If your brand is not listed, send photographs and it can usually still be assessed.
Often, but it depends on the fault and on part availability. Some manufacturers no longer produce parts for older models; Kettler, for example, has discontinued parts for its tables made up to 2019. Mechanical faults such as misalignment, worn wheels or loose fixings can frequently be resolved without new parts. Send photographs and model details with your enquiry so the work can be assessed and quoted.
Our Parts & Brands Support page lists official parts contacts for Cornilleau, Butterfly, Kettler and Sponeta, it's best to speak to them to buy parts. If you are booking us to come and fit parts for your table, we can assist sourcing them.
